Creating a test in HappyAppy is how you send real testers through your app or website. The process walks you through several setup steps so testers know exactly what to do.
To create a new test:
Click the + New Test button (top right of any page, or from your Dashboard).
Give your test a title — something descriptive like "Homepage Onboarding Flow" or "Checkout Page Review."
Enter the URL of the app or website you want tested.
Choose a test type (Quick Look, Deep Dive, or Deep Diver — see Understanding Test Types).
Set your tester count — how many testers you want for this test.
Add a scenario (optional) — context for the tester about who they are or what situation they're in.
Add an attention note — a specific focus area or thing to look for (e.g., "Looking for the video upload page").
Add tasks — step-by-step things you want testers to try.
Configure optional settings like demographics targeting, device type, and screening requirements.
Review the credits cost and launch.
💡 Tip: The more specific your tasks and attention note, the more useful the tester feedback will be. Vague instructions lead to vague responses.
